Toby Doane

Vice President of Operations

Raised in Southern California, Toby is a retired naval officer with 22 years of experience in the surface warfare community. He enlisted in the Navy in 1983 and served in Electronics Warfare and later as a Surface Warfare Officer - on six ships and three shore tours. While on active duty, Toby earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degrees in Software Engineering and Human Resource Management.

While in the Navy, Toby served in the Engineering, Combat Systems, Sensors and Weapons communities (Tomahawk, Harpoon, Gun Weapon Systems etc.). During Toby’s shore tour assignments, he developed curricula for the Master’s Level Electronic Warfare training courses and was responsible for the implementation of Tomahawk Operations and Maintenance courses on the west coast. After retiring from the Navy, Toby continued his Tomahawk Weapons System (TWS) growth by serving as a Project Manager and systems engineer for the development and maintenance of TWS software components. He joined Synectic Solutions as a Logistics Department Head in 2006 and was later promoted to the Vice President of Operations.

Active in the community, Toby presently serves in the Regional Defense Partnership for the 21st Century (RDP-21), the NSWC Port Hueneme Industry Council and is an active member of professional organizations including AFCEA, NDIA, ASNE and the Surface Navy Association.
